Want to co-produce zines together?

Building on themes of precarious work, alternative futures, and sustainable organizations, we will develop zines that blend analogue and digital methods.

For the workshop, I introduced the concept of hope labor and asked participants to consider what the role of hope labor in their lives.

Hope labor describes a temporal position that layers the present and future wherein you perform labor (for instance, volunteer, intern, low-unpaid positions, etc) in hopes of achieving further employment or exposure. I inquired are their experiences positive, negative, neutral?

Printed A3 copies were distributed at Aalto’s Väre lobby and at Huvila x makamik art happening and event!

Workshop hosted at Space21 and coordinated with Johanna Weigel from Aalto Crust as a part of their Planetary Practices Workshops supported by the Sustainability Action Booster (used for the great vegan dinner)!
